(Joey walks along the docks crying - she sits against the handrail - Dawson approaches and stands next to her)
Dawson: (speaks softly) I’m glad he kissed you.
Joey: (wipes tears with the back of her hand) Well that makes one of us.
Dawson: I’m glad he kissed you because it forced me to deal with notion of losing you, Joey. And I can’t. I can’t lose you. Not now, not ever.
Joey: Dawson, I’m no good for you. I mean, look at the way you behaved today.
Dawson: I behaved the way that I did today because I was threatened.u most definetly were, like seriously did u ever think you could compete against pacey and actually win???
Joey: (confused) What are you talking about?
Dawson: Honestly? I’m just trying to be the kind of guy you want.(*cough* pacey*cough*)
Joey: What kind of a guy is that?
Dawson: (sighs) Well... the one who beat up a bully, and bought you a wall...(so if you are trying to be the guy joey wants and by that u are trying to be pacey, then explain to me why she would want a imitation instead of the real thing...who btw is sweet, gorgeous, caring and actually loves her rather than treats her like a possision)
Joey: That’s not you.
Dawson: No. (shrugs shoulders) No, it’s not, Joey. I- I’ve- I’ve just been trying to show you how much I want you instead of just telling you.
Joey: You don’t want me, Dawson. You said it yourself, you just don’t want to lose me.(You tell him Jo )
Dawson: Of course I don’t want to lose you, Joey, I- I want you more than I ever have.(Interesting why is that, because u know that she has found something better????)
Joey: If you really felt that way about me Dawson, then you would realise that the last thing that I need right now is another person with romantic intentions for me.
Dawson: (nods) OK. What do you need? (Joey doesn’t respond) Jo, what do you need? I will do anything. I am willing to do anything.(hmmm as her "soulmate" as u like so much to remind us, shouldn't you already know???)
Joey: I need a friend. Someone who will be there for me without any agenda. (pauses) The person that you used to be.
Dawson: Then- Then I’ll be there for you. (Joey turns her head) Let me prove it to you. Let me show you.
(Joey looks at him but doesn’t respond)
Dawson: Joey?
(Joey turns and walks away) (keep walking joey keep walking)
Dawson: Jo?

B.: You ended up with Pacey in the series finale. Did you like that ending?
Katie: Totally. I thought it made sense. Pacey and Joey kind of grew together as Dawson and Joey grew more apart. And it felt like it wouldn't be right if Dawson and Joey ended up together. They should stay friends, though.

Reasons we hate the hellmates
1.)They are way to co-dependent.
2.)They hold each other back.
3.)They use each other as security blankets.
4.)They are always 15 and having the same argument over and over and over.
5.)They can never be togther for longer than 2 months without breaking up.
6.)They always have massive arguments but never resolve anything.
7.)They didnt want each other, they just didnt want to lose the other.
8.)Well he almost killed Pacey to win her love so thats a reason to hate them.
9.)Sex the first time was so bad that they almost killed each other and never repeated their mistake.

What James has to say about getting steamy with Creek co-star Katie Holmes might just throw a wrench in the five-year fantasy fans have had since the show began.
So what was it like for Dawson to finally go all the way with Joey (Holmes)? "It wasn't all that uncomfortable," James confessed at a recent press event. "I've known Katie for about six years and it's strange making out with somebody you know that well in that capacity. It's like kissing your sister sometimes." Ouch!

Cheers to Dawson's Creek's going-away party. The series finale's epilogue, set five years after the main action, was a satisfying reminder of why we once enjoyed this show. Sharp, surprising and a little sappy, it was everything a teen soap should be. And Joey ended up with Pacey, not Dawson. Perfect.

We've watched their slow-burning romance on the small screen for years on Dawson's Creek. Katie Holmes quickly distinguished herself in the teen series as the streetwise Joey, who found herself in a love triangle with best friends Dawson and Pacey. As a couple, the two were impossibly cute together and somewhere deep in our hearts we knew they were a better match than Dawson and Joey could ever be. Even though it seems that things are over between Joey and Pacey, we hope it's just a temporary situation... and that love will bloom once more.

There's a reason that Dawson's Creek director Robert Duncan McNeil is a familiar name to fans of continuing drama. From 1986-88, he played Charlie on the daytime soap All My Children, opposite Lauren Holly (Julie). Stepping behind the camera to direct the lives and loves on Dawson's Creek was a welcome challenge. "The first episode I directed ["The Long Goodbye"] was John Wesley Shipp's last one [as Dawson's dad Mitch]," recalls McNeil. "It wasn't a typical episode in that John was playing an interactive ghost! I think it was one of James Van Der Beek's best episodes ever. He did an amazing job of not letting his emotions out for a long time and then he finally released them in a powerful way."

McNeil, who now directs One Tree Hill, notes that while a series like Dawson's Creek may have an original blueprint as to which couples will ultimately be together, destiny often has other ideas. "I believe that Dawson's Creek was [originally] conceived with Dawson and Joey being star-crossed lovers," the director theorizes. "And over the course of the show [it evolved to where] Joey and Pacey were really meant to be together. I thought the series finale handled it beautifully by bringing them all back together. Dawson was allowed to have his own dream and live in his fantasy world as a filmmaker. He got to have Joey in his world, but in the real world, Pacey got Joey. I thought that was great."

I think after watching the show back and seeing what he missed he had no choice but to go the way he did. Kevin, saw what we saw, he felt it too. There was no denying who the more powerful couple was.
