Angelica Frey @angelica_frey 9 hours ago May is mental health awareness month so I would like to do a shoutout to Andie McPhee of Dawson’s Creek, a character written 20 years ago but with more depth than many current “caricatural” characters dealing with mental illness (Rebecca Bunch is great though). __________________

I'm rewatching 'A Weekend in the Country' (Season 3, Ep 12) and I really felt for Andie when she saw how happy Jack was living with Grams and Jen (they all liked different types of milk and knew what each other liked). She probably felt so alone living with just their father who didn't seem to pay them any attention.
 "I get it, you're part of a family now. Families have three types of milk and inside jokes. Why would you want to move back into that big cold house with a man who has no idea of what kind of milk you drink and what kind of play you're directing." Poor baby..  __________________
