There should definitly be an appreciation thread for one of the finest characters on "Dawson's Creek." Along with Jen, Abby made "Dawson's Creek" for me. She was an essential character that added much to the series.

An Abby quote that gives us insight into her character and the reasons behind her actions: "I play such a crucial role in this little circle, and you guys are just too unimaginative to notice"

I hope to meet many Abby fans here.

Ha,ha she def. spiced up the show. One of my favorite episodes was when she found that note, and was trying to figure out who had sex. She def. cruel sometimes, but it just added to how great the show was.

I came across this thread and was shocked by the small amount of posts it had. I know Abby was quite an underrated character who was only there a few seasons, but she definitely made a huge impact on the show. Her character often had mentions throughout the seasons, even in the series finale.

So what did you guys think about Abby? Was she a character you loved to hate? Hated to love? Do you wish she stayed on the show longer?

I'd love to hear your opinions about Abby!

They should've kept Abby around longer. I think Dawson and Abby would've made a good couple 'cause they were both so quirky.

I would have loved to have seen interactions between Drue and Abby...I think that would have made for some amusing conflict. I think it would have been fun to have Abby's commentary on the S3/S4 relationships. She always had an interesting opinon.

Abby was one of those characters you loved to hate, I think it would have been nice if she had stuck around a little longer. I felt that there was more to her character than what was on the surface, and once in awhile we got a little glimpse of it.

Very true, we got to see some rare glimpses of, well, humanity in Abby, and it would have been nice to see her flesh out more.

Can anyone else imagine her character developing into a better person and learning from her mistakes? I bet she could have been a very likeable character. It's a shame, really.

I just finished watching a random cheesy Christmas movie on Netflix. I know it's a bit early. But anyway, it was driving me crazy through half of it who the main character looked and sounded like and then it hit me, "Oh, it's Abby Morgan!"
