[3x08] "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" February 15th - February 21st
The Official Dawson's Creek Board Rewatch Thread "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" ~ 3x08 Synopsis: When Jen's mother, Helen, unexpectedly arrives in Capeside to spend Thanksgiving with her mother and daughter, Dawson tells her what he knows about Eve and this clearly flusters Helen, who asks him not to tell Jen. A poignant speech at the dinner table forces Helen to think again, and she eventually tells Jen that she has a half-sister. Upset and confused by her mother's confession, Jen attempts to change her relationship with Pacey to the more physical, but finds comfort in another unexpected way. Mitch and Gail reveal that their divorce has become final. http://i62.tinypic.com/nlubz6.jpg We would like to invite everyone to participate in our re-watch, be it first-time viewer or long-time fan. This is our opportunity to relive the Dawson's Creek days and to discuss our favorite moments, things we would like to change or maybe totally new things we never noticed before. We will watch one episode every two weeks. Due to our different time-zones we decided to not name an exact time and date, so everyone can decide for themselves when they watch the episode. We will update this thread every second Friday, when we start a new episode, so all discussion can take place in here too. Have Fun! :group_hug: |
Although it resulted in lots of drama of course, it was really nice to see all the characters get together for Thanksgiving dinner. :)

And of course Joey goes and messes up the moment with the gang by saying that she's sure the gang will be estranged in no time  How positive.
I liked this episode and I particularly felt for Jen here. Helen Lindley is not a warm person and you could see why Jen has had issues. |
it was a good episode to see the gang together.
|
I liked how they all sat around the bonfire together at the end. :)

Decent episode, nice to see everyone together for Thanksgiving. It was nice to get some more focus on Jen and her backstory with her family. Some of the scenes and interactions were great and meaningful but other parts felt a bit slow.
The bonfire scene was cute. |

As much as it was nice to get some insight into Jen's home life, I found the scenes with her mother quite boring.
|
yeah it was a slower episode imo. But TBH none of the episodes this season have been that exciting to me thus far.
|
I don't know about that. I like how Jen and Joey became friends in S3 and of course I liked the friendship of Pacey and Joey. I really enjoyed Pacey in S3.

If you like PJ I can see why you would like season 3, but if you are indifferent to them then its not that great of a season.
Just as a whole I dont feel like a lot happened that was that exciting. Season 1 and 2 were so much better to me. I love Pacey, he's my favorite, and other than Joey stuff what has he really done this season? |

Pacey is the only reason i can really tolerate PJo the way I can.
I fear its only going to get worse once they become an actual couple because couples that fight all the time really irk me. |
