[3x02] "Homecoming" December 29th - January 3rd
The Official Dawson's Creek Board Rewatch Thread "Homecoming" ~ 3x02 Synopsis: As Pacey and Joey leave Capeside to collect Andie from hospital, Dawson is manipulated by his father and the school principal to produce a film about football for the upcoming pep rally. However, the ultimate stars of the film, which is seen by many students and teachers, are Dawson and Eve, who inadvertently appear semi-clothed. The same night, Jen is revealed to be the new head cheerleader and Jack, the new star of the football team, two facts which stun Pacey, Joey and Andie, who are watching from the audience. Pacey is overjoyed to be spending time with Andie, but she doesn't appear as excited to see him, and when confronted by her boyfriend, Andie makes a shocking confession to sleeping with someone else. Jack has an unexpected encounter with his father, who has returned to Capeside.  We would like to invite everyone to participate in our re-watch, be it first-time viewer or long-time fan. This is our opportunity to relive the Dawson's Creek days and to discuss our favorite moments, things we would like to change or maybe totally new things we never noticed before. We will watch one episode every two weeks. Due to our different time-zones we decided to not name an exact time and date, so everyone can decide for themselves when they watch the episode. We will update this thread every second Friday, when we start a new episode, so all discussion can take place in here too. Have Fun!  __________________

One of my favourite scenes is when Jen teaches Dawson on how to eat an ice cream properly.

I hated that andie cheated on pacey. that was so unrealistic after all they've been through.

I hated that Eve was still here. She was so flat as a character. I dont like seeing Dawson shoved off with her. And we didnt see any more of Joey's boss, which is strange.
I thought Henry was a cute character, nice introduction there. I found he and Jen pretty cute, but the whole bumping into each other looks of love was just a bit fast. It was nice too see Andie again but I hated what they did to her character! Having her act all weird around Pacey and having her cheating on him was just so annoying and character assassination. I dont believe the Andie from season 2 would have done that to him. It would have been much better had she just told Pacey she was enjoying her alone time and focusing on herself and she didnt want a relationship while she was trying to get better or something of that sort. Joey persuading Pacey to forgive Andie was a really cute scene. Especially because she was talking about not forgiving Dawson soon enough. But I was glad that Pacey ended up holding his ground because he didn't deserve to be cheated on, no matter what Andie was going through IMO. Him saying that Andie changed his life was really sweet. But it just proved to me how much Pacey deserved. The scene with Jack and his father was really sweet, I like this football storyline for Jack too. The ending Joey/Dawson scene was great, I love their dock scenes. "So what are we now?" "Dawson and Joey." So cute! __________________

I'd be surprised to see any positive comments about the Eve character. Too bad for the actress that her character was so disliked, even if she and Josh dated in real life during this Season.
I thought it was cute how nervous Pacey was at seeing Andie and how excited he was. I also liked that Joey was the one he too with him to pick Andie up. I loved their scenes, they were cute in how they were friends, but that intolerance showed through. I know everyone hates that Andie cheated on Pacey and everyone says it was so out of character, but I tend to disagree. I understand where Andie was coming from when she said that Mark was going through the same thing that she was and that they understand each other. This is naturally going to connect you to each other. I don't agree with the fact that she cheated, but she was vulnerable and young and gave into her feelings. How cute was Pacey in this episode     __________________

No offense....I found it out of character because I just dont think Andie is the cheating type and I think she would have called Pacey and told him she wanted to break up. Connecting with Mark made complete sense, and a kiss I would have understood but actually going through with sleeping with him is a complete other story. Had she even still had feelings for Mark, it would have made even more sense to me but she acted like she completely regretted it and seemed very upset, so it just felt plopped in there as a way to break them up. Again, it would have been just as easy and a lot more realistic iMO for Andie to just say she wanted to be single and focus on herself. __________________

Andie seemed to have a touch of feelings when she was trying to say goodbye to Mark after Pacey arrived. Just look at her face when she's looking at him.

Pacey is sooooo cute there, esp. in that last picture. Thanks for sharing. But just can't look at Andie's hair
  I think this was a bad way for Andie's character to break up with Pacey. But they were so in love when she left, maybe there was no other realistic way for their breakup. But I agree, I did not feel very comfortable what the writers did to her character in the beginning of s3.I like what she did for Pacey in s2!! |

I didn't mind the braids, but the pig tails were just weird. I guess it's their way of trying to make Meredith look younger since he's like 9 years older than Josh.

 Meredith herself thought it was ridiculous and when she came back in the series finale it was one of her conditions to not have those ridiculous pig tails again, you go girl __________________
