[2x06] "The Dance" November 30th - December 14th
The Official Dawson's Creek Board Rewatch Thread "The Dance" ~ 2x06 Synopsis: Two tragedies rock Dawson's world. First he learns the awful truth about his parents marriage. Then, at the Homecoming dance, he witnesses a heated moment between Joey and Jack, during which their illicit kiss is revealed. Dawson is heartbroken as his lifelong friendship and newfound romance with Joey is shattered. The big night also introduces Jen and Jack for the first time. Pacey tries to open his heart to Andie, but something she witnesses ends up hurting her.  We would like to invite everyone to participate in our re-watch, be it first-time viewer or long-time fan. This is our opportunity to relive the Dawson's Creek days and to discuss our favorite moments, things we would like to change or maybe totally new things we never noticed before. We will watch one episodes every two week. Due to our different time-zones we decided to not name an exact time and date, so everyone can decide for themselves when they watch the episode. We will update this thread every second Friday, when we start a new episode, so all discussion can take place in here too. Have Fun!  __________________

Andie's Footloose dancing.
  Oh my gosh, when Jen and Jack first meet!!  It's crazy to think how they have no idea how much they're gonna mean to each other and that they're actually each other's soulmate.  Pacey: "Come on, you can't tell me you haven't wanted to act out a fantasy." Andie: "I was trying to act out a fantasy all night, Pacey." I absolutely love Andie's speech to Pacey, how she doesn't see him as the screw-up that he and everyone else sees him to be. How she thinks he's actually really kind, smart, witty, and brilliant. And then they had their first kiss! Her knees were totally shaking and his heart was going "boom boom, boom boom". __________________

This is one of my favourite episodes of season two
Back when Jack was crushin' on Joey  I love the beginning of the episode with the scepticism about the dance, I love how sarcastic Dawson & Joey are and how innocent Andie seems in comparison  Her dancing moment is beyond adorable I LOVE PACEY AND ANDIE TOGETHER That was soooooo sweet and romantic And like you said Chris - while rewatching I couldn't help, but giggle and grin when Jen & Jack met, so much good to come __________________

I loved this episode. even when christy livingstone wanted to dance with pacey, he only wanted to be with andie. He fought for her.

I'm watching this episode as part of my rewatch and Andie's footloose dancing is just too cute
I love how the camera moves to show the full scene and Pacey, Dawson, and Joey are all sitting on Dawson's bed looking amused  __________________

I thought Jack was kind of a jerk this episode, saying he would kiss Joey again. But Dawson should not have punched him. I hated seeing Joey be conflicted on her feelings though. She should have told Dixon about the kiss from the start. Their relationship was so short. Joey's reasons for breaking up with him were so lame. And after all that struggle to be with him in season 1.
Jen/Jack dance was cute, knowing how close they become later. Andie was adorable this episode. Loved her speech to Pacey and then him saying he wanted to be with her that night. Their kiss was so sweet. They are such an adorable couple. Cant stand the Jen/Abby friendship. __________________

I thought Jack was being bold, but I didn't think he was being a jerk at all. Jack was very observant in the episodes leading up to this one and I think he could tell Joey wasn't truly happy, so I think he took a chance there.

observant or not, it was still jerky imo
which doesnt even fit his character from what we know about him, but that was major retconning there. __________________
