[1x11] "The Scare" Aug 24th - Aug 31st
The Official Dawson's Creek Board Rewatch Thread "The Scare" ~ 1x11 Synopsis: Friday the 13th dawns in Capeside, and Dawson plans a séance for the group. While shopping for supplies for the evening, they meet a distressed woman in the middle of a nasty row with her boyfriend. She accompanies them back to Dawson's house. In addition to being spooked by the woman and the séance, emotions are heightened by the knowledge that a serial killer may be headed towards Capeside. We would like to invite everyone to participate in our re-watch, be it first-time viewer or long-time fan. This is our opportunity to relive the Dawson's Creek days and to discuss our favorite moments, things we would like to change or maybe totally new things we never noticed before. We will watch one episodes every week. Due to our different time-zones we decided to not name an exact time and date, so everyone can decide for themselves when they watch the episode. We will update this thread every Friday, when we start a new episode, so all discussion can take place in here too. Have Fun!  __________________

A really funny episode. Dawson choosing not to scare Jen which upset her. The crazy lady in that house. Pacey "borrowing" his dad's car lol. I still love how considerate he is to Joey, despite their "hating each other so much" IE helping her up etc. All of them playing a joke on Dawson since he was in his scare mode. Him thinking of Joey dead was wake up call.

I love this episode, it totally scared me when I was a kid.
 The ending always spooks me how the strange man ended up being the Lady Killer.And may I just mention Jen's scene, an homage to Drew Barrymore's in Scream. Nice work, Kevin.  |

Thanks for the reactions - I thought I was gonna have to postpone the next epi
 This is one of my favourite episodes of the first season and maybe even the episode that really got me hooked. I loved the combination of humor, suspense and heart. The crazy lady was hilarious, loved the Scream tribute, loved the prank played on Dawson. I love how Pacey called Joey out on her feeling. The fact that that guy ended up being the killer made it scary and real. I really love this episode! __________________

I love the DJo scene at the end. Very touching. Dawson talking about how devastated he would be if Joey died. |

I'm watching this episode right now!!
I love that Dawson keeps scaring Joey! She falls for it everytime! And then when Pacey tosses that fake gross finger into Joeys lunch  __________________

I get a kick out of this episode because Scott Foley ended up playing the killer in Scream 3

Man, I'm rusty. I don't remember Scott Foley being in the episode or the killer. I love him as Jake on Scandal. I'm going to have to remember to try and catch that episode, or tape it if I'm not home lol. I remembered I loved that episode cause it was funny. I know clips are on Youtube but I can't wait till they get to S3, that's my favorite season cause of Pacey/Joey obviously. Might skip S2 cause last time I watched them I found that season to be very immature (mostly cause of how childish Dawson and Joey were always acting) but even that is better than S5 and 6 IMO.
