V: Now can we talk about your show runner leaving the show. I know the fans are sort of a little heartbroken over that. Have you guys come to terms with the fact that Amy’s not going to be on board next season?
K: We have no choice (laughs). We have come to terms.
E: We’re sorry that she’s gone. I think it was between she and the network about things we weren’t privy to. So we’re sorry, because she is the sparkplug of the show. It was her idea. But I think we’re on a roll. I think we can maintain it. I hope so.
M: Yeah. That’s the hope of it is that she’s, you know, infused the show with a tone and the character that she’s created for the last six years-- (SCOTT PATTERSON COMES UP BEHIND MATT AND STARTS MESSING WITH HIM) –like this guy!
V: We’ll have to make room for Scott Patterson. Always tryin’ to steal your spotlight this one!
M: Yeah, I had such good things to say.
V: We were having a moment here Scott!
S: He took my parking space!
M: Oh, jeez!
S: Ask him [about that] …with his fancy new car.
V: Do you have a fancy new car, Matt? We need to talk about that.
M: No, I’ve got--. That seems to be what he wants to talk about.
V: Is that what happens when you move to the CW network? People start getting new cars?
S: No, not just any new car. This is like a bat mobile.
M: (Closes his eyes, shaking his head, laughing) Oh jeez.
K: Is that your car?
S: Yeah, that’s his car! I have to get a new car now, ‘cause I’m embarrassed now. People are like ‘Why are you driving that?!’ Look what Matt drives!
M: Unbelievable.
K: I’m so happy for you.
M: Thank you very much.
K: It’s lovely.
M: Thank you very much.
E: (To Matt re: Scott) Don’t you listen to him.
M: I am excited about the car. (Kelly laughing)
V: I can tell, clearly, none of you actually get along.
K: No, no. We do not like each other.
V: Not even a little bit.
K: This is acting. This is all acting.
V: (Too Matt and Scott) Alright we need to talk to the two of you, ‘cause you [Matt] went off to London. I’m concerned about this, but I’m happy you’re here, because I’m assuming that means you’re probably back next season?
M: I am. I am. Yeah, hopefully, you know, with that storyline, we’ll get a chance to see what he would be like as taking over the business, and kind of the business mogul kind of aspect, you know? So hopefully we’ll see a little bit of that. Either that or it’s going to be just a lot of phone calls to Rory, which is going to get tiring! But um, so we’ll see. But I’m coming back, so I’ll be there.
V: Scott(Scott is busy talking to Edward Herrmann). Scott, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt. We’re just doing an interview. No, I’m just kidding. Now I don’t know if anyone’s told you this, but your woman ended up in bed with another man. (Matt laughs) (Shocked silence from Scott)
E: Really?!
V: On the show! On the show!
S: Oh!
V: Sorry, I should’ve clarified.
S: Yeah. No, I didn’t know that.
V: Yeah, how are you feeling about that?
S: I don’t know. It’s kind of weird. I just found out (Matt and Kelly laugh). Is he here?
V: You should’ve watched the finale. It was good!
S: Is he here?
V: He is here.
S: Ok, could you excuse me for just a minute?
E: (Pointing) He’s right over there.
V: I feel a smack down comin’ down on The CW.
