I don't think I minded when the plant got destroyed and I think destroying it was such a big move for Gwen who before then was all about the plant too. I really loved seeing growth from her (and even Sam honestly who if I remember correctly gave it up to in a way).
I still wonder how the new plant grew at the end. I thought it was spots people died from the flood. Which I still wonder why those people.
I really do hope in s2 they give us more on the plant.
