"The amount of screen time Rory and Jess had–or rather, didn’t have–in the revival is a crime. But can we just take a moment to appreciate that in the longest scene they did have, Jess and Rory haven’t seen each other in at least four years, but she trusts him to completely catch her while she rants about her own personal insecurities and help her back on track because that is what he’s always done for her in the past and that is what she so desperately needs? These are things she hasn’t even shared fully with her friends or her mother, but feels safe to do so with Jess.
And even though the rant is half nonsensical and half irrational and Jess hasn’t seen this woman in at least four years, isn’t in enough contact with her otherwise to know she’s dating someone and has for half that time, and the last time we saw them she broke his heart, that he takes it all in stride and immediately steps in to counterbalance and give her direction?
Because damn. That scene lasted maybe three minutes, but I can’t stop thinking about this. "
