It wasn't just that they got the history wrong, they ignored history to push a politically correct, social justice agenda.

Like the episode where they went back in time to meet Bass Reeves, a black US Marshall who they claimed was the actual inspiration for The Lone Ranger, and then spent most of the episode lecturing the audience on how bad white people are and how wrong it was to portray the Lone Ranger as white. WRONG! First of all, the actual creators of The Lone Ranger never once said they based the character on a real person, and said their actual inspiration was Zorro and Robin Hood. Second, while Bass Reeves' exploits might have had some inspiration, he was a US Marshall, not a Texas Ranger. It's far more likely that the inspiration came from an actual Texas Ranger named John Hughes, who was a white man and the longest serving Ranger in history. His career was legendary, and he even led a search for a gang who ambushed and killed a group of Texas Rangers, which is similar to the origin of The Lone Ranger. There was even a book inspired by Hughes' life story called "The Lone Star Ranger," which is in reference to Texas being nicknamed the "Lone Star State." Hmmm... The Lone Ranger... The Lone Star Ranger. Coincidence?

Then there was the episode where they went back in time and met Hollywood actress Hedy Lamarr. While they did correctly state that Hedy pioneered wireless technology and let her patent expire because she wasn't really interested in being an inventor and only wanted a quiet life after leaving Hollywood, the episode implied that Hedy was the innovator of wireless technology as if no one came up with the idea before her, and she had her invention unfairly taken from her while men took credit for creating wireless technology. Uhhhh…. Nikola Tesla, anyone? Tesla practically created wireless technology before Hedy Lamarr was even born, and his dream was to provide free wireless power to the entire world before Thomas Edison ruined his career because Edison didn't want the competition.

See how ridiculous Hollywood political correctness is? They ignore facts, history, and rational thought to promote what they see as "corrective measures" to society.
