I think the mattress factory fire was started by that arsonist from the later episodes of last season as a parting gift to the CFD.
I have a feeling that this isn't over.
A few years ago, when season 2 ended with an explosion (which ultimately killed Shay in the next season premiere), I knew from the beginning that it was a deliberate act, long before such a fact was confirmed later in the season.
So if the fire that killed Otis is touched upon again later this season, I want to see what the cause ended up being.
If it was the arsonist, she will face life in prison based on the felony murder rule (Illinois abolished capital punishment several years before).
