Brynn Cartelli talking about Kelly:

Her coach on “The Voice” was Kelly Clarkson — now her professional mentor and perhaps more.
“Kelly is the kindest, most down-to-earth and hardest working person I have ever met,” Cartelli said. “I love her and her family so much and I am so beyond grateful that they are a part of my life.”
On tour with Clarkson from, Oakland, Calif. to Boston, Cartelli learned to depend on her mentor for advice.
“I remember one night on tour I was talking to Kelly after a bad show. She told me that I can’t expect myself to be 100 percent every night. She said I should expect an 80, 90 percent at best,” Cartelli said. “Kelly told me about all of the shows that she and every performer have all had that seemed to come from hell, but they never let it stop them from playing the next day. Knowing this, having an off day in the studio or on stage, does not drive me as crazy as it used to. I am so lucky to have an honest, caring mentor to look up to."
Cartelli is working on an album, which she expects to release next year.
