IA about the Bangel kiss in Chosen being about Angel trying to feel something because he was so numb. I would also say that was the Nina thing to. All of season 5 is Angel just being numb to everything except for YW. I don't think your reaching at all and IA that the Illyria thing hit Angel hard because of what happened to Cordelia. I think in away he was reliving it all over again and it opened all those old wounds again. Angel definitely was hoping W&H would be able to bring Cordy back. They helped him with Connor so I think he thought they would be able to help him with her to. It's sad to me that Angel has to live with the knowlage that of all the people he saved Cordy was one of the people he couldn't. My Cangel heart breaks for him.
