Losing someone is never easy and it can take a long time to make the adjustment that this person is gone. My grandmother would talk to my grandfather as if he was still there and we let her because it gave her a sense of peace. Emily will adjust but memories will flood back now and again, she just has to be open to them and I would hope it would bring Lorelai and Emily closer to each other.
