I do not want it to just be a simply "he gets his memory back and remembers he loves her" cuz that's a total zzzzz.

Oh, I agree. See what Jennifer does great is make her self unobtainable while deliberately throwing herself at him. Which isn't a failure of memory, but exactly what he loves about her and their relationship. Love is the motive throughout each individual characters interaction of developing the perfect course of action between Jennifer and what her definition of love is toward her characters expectations.
