She was fantastic.
Interesting, too, how Josephine finally fell asleep, and that’s when Clarke awoke. I wonder if that’s ever happened before or not.

Yes, I'm really interested in finding out whether Clarke is somehow special in still being alive in there somehow, or whether this has been the case for all the hosts. If the later, it seems none of them have ever managed to actually break out, because Russell, Josephine, et al. appear genuine in their belief that the hosts are completely gone.
If the former, what makes Clarke special? (Aside from the fact that she's totally awesome and she's our protagonist!). That she wasn't a willing sacrifice? But then neither were the first hosts, as that video showed. Sheer force of will? Maybe, but that would be a kinda lame explanation. Surely among all the many hosts over the years there's been someone else strong-willed. Maybe being a manufactured nightblood as opposed to being born one makes a difference, but I'm betting it's the fact that she was briefly bonded with the Flame. Not sure how or why that matters, but if true it strongly points to Madi as the one to save her. Which would be really cool, if after all Clarke's struggles to protect Madi now it's time for the daughter to save her adopted mom. Maybe even better if the Flame is destroyed once and for all in the process!
