I wouldn’t go as far as to say that Jess was a New York version of Luke b/c they had very different upbringings

I agree and I think we saw that at the end of series, and in the revival, Luke mentioned something along the lines that see saw Jess as his kid, and I think we saw how much Jess respected Luke and wanted to be there for him.

I really loved seeing how Jess went from not caring much for his uncle to appreciating everything that he did for him at the end of S4 to being worried about/concerned for the wellbeing of his uncle in revival
