^ Brainy and Kara are so perfect for each other... but it seems the showrunners would rather have Brainy mess up the timeline instead, and possibly write his future teammate out of existence

I stand by my earlier assumption: Kara is apparently not allowed to have another romantic relationship on this show, let alone any hint of her comic canon one (because really -- I just wanted some little hints this season, not a full-on relationship), nor have any deep meaningful conversations with a male character that isn't J'onn.
Well, we still have two episodes left this season. Maybe something will happen... (not holding my breath).
