Good interview. He also said that he was neck high with the company lately and needing to help get them through this crucial phase. He was looking to do roles later, hence him auditioning. So, I suspect he took on the Netflix series because he finished COALG early and it was over only a few months. He passed on the Affair because he needed to focus on doing stuff for the company when it started filming. (I'm guessing though).
