Comments: Donna’s characterization in early season five is very “off model,” as animators might put it. Today’s comic shows just how off her behavior is during this episode by having her behave in-character. Eric’s confusion is both authentic to his experience in comics’ version of this storyline as well as a meta commentary on what I’ve described above.
