I rewatched last night and realized I need to clarify.
DA are in state court.
These persons are Federal prosecutors and called US Attorney or something like that.
I realized the difference because they tell Red the serial numbers being scraped off his gun make it a federal offense. Just gun possession would be a state offense.
I think that is why Red was so surprised. Because the gun was changed. He's smart enough to know what he can be charged with. And he wasn't prepared for that.
I think that's what Liz did and then called the federal prosecutor
