It has to happen at some point. You can't keep Hank and Janet old people in the MCU forever when they're both young in the comics, and it makes no sense to have Hope be the main Wasp in the MCU when she doesn't exist in the comics.
To allow this to remain the norm just for Edgar Wright, who didn't even make an MCU movie? It defies logic.
