I had assumed that Anakin and Ahsoka had not seen each other between the time she left the Order and when she confronts him - as Vader - in REBELs, and that the direct role that the Jedi Council played in causing her departure had influenced his anger towards and actions against them - and the rest of the Order at large - in Revenge of the Sith.

However, I've learned that she offhandedly tells Ezra that the last time she saw Anakin, he was rushing off to save Palpatine from Grievous at the beginning of RotS, which killed all of my assumptions and preconceptions.
