R.I.P. Stan Lee

Back in the civil rights era of the 60's, the idea of a superhero team that was prejudiced against because they were mutants was revolutionary, and Stan Lee's writing really spoke to the readers of the X-Men, making them relateable and an acecdote of the era. And not only the X-Men, but all the other classic Marvel characters.

At 95, he truly lived a long life and I'm thankful that he lived long enough to see his creations, including the X-Men, become the movie sensations and pop culture icons that they deserve to be.

R.I.P. So thankful that I was able to meet him back in 2012 at the Calgary Comic Expo.
