Some little boys (a lot of them) have SO much energy! It's hard to tame them to sit quietly in school all day - goes against their nature.
Yes, there are so many rules now. They used to keep big wooden paddles in the front of the class rooms - I don't think the teachers hit anyone with them, but the threat of them was there!
