re-watched Coda and The Long Goodbye earlier today and I absolutely love these friendship scenes with these 2

I love how they were slowly rebuilding their friendship

“I want you to know that it was a man named Gary Peters who killed your father. A guy who, for the rest of his life, will carry around the guilt of taking Mitch Leery away from his wife and 2 kids. And I want you to know that this guy is not you. It’s not you, Dawson. Don’t blame yourself for this. You wanna grieve? You go right ahead.”
