I wish they had done this too. If there's not one already, there needs to be someone who studies the scripts, episodes, characters, relationships, and friendships and will go participate at every table read to say, "Ok but remember we started a friendship between Quinn and Mercedes, so we need be sure it's not dropped or forgotten" and then the writers/producers can fine tune the scripts in order to keep continuity and avoid plots from being black holed.
