Definitely not a look of hope. Plus, we know in a previous scene, Echo feels concern over Bellamy/their relationship. There's just little signs that demonstrate Becho could be in trouble. Octavia, even in her really bad state was sane enough to tell it like it is... Bellamy loves Clarke with Bellamy not denying it. So many signs. I have a guy friend who doesn't even know what the word ship means yet he constantly says Bellamy and Clarke will be together romantically. When he watched the scene between Octavia and Bellamy he instantly pointed out that Bellamy couldn't deny the obvious. It's interesting getting opinions from others who don't ship in general like my friend. There is zero bias and they just call it like they see it.
