The "reversal" scene in the pilot, where he comes to the Crashdown and allowed her to see what was in his head. It was amazing. Love how it showed that he was always there, blending in... They were just going in opposite directions and yet he was always pining for her... It gave her amazing insight.
And started the bond. And for her to start to understand, even if they didn't know what the shooting had opened up in terms of the Pandora box of history and the unknown.
It showed their connction.
