And David Duchovny is 57 years old today, so the CSM was actually younger than present-day Mulder at the start of the series He definitely always came across as late 60’s-early 70’s to me, I wasn’t really expecting him to still be acting by the time of the revival either I guess how wrinkled and lined CSM’s skin was when he was only in his 50’s is an effective warning for staying away from smoking
