That's crazy though, they took you to the car in a wheelchair but couldn't tell that you'd broken it!
I once had a private room after my second birth, because the ward was full. I was excited at first, woo hoo! a room by myself! But I got terribly lonely. I really missed being on a ward. Luckily I was only there for a night. When I was in with my first I was there for 8 days due to the fact I nearly died, and perhaps being on a ward was actually helpful.
As for health and safety, I was most annoyed to be told I wasn't allowed to walk around with my baby. When I wanted to go make myself some breakfast I always had to wheel the baby down the corridor in the cot everytime, and to change or bathe the baby, although my husband was doing that most of the time.
Eta I miss Kia, too.
I'm right handed.
