Hopefully Madi will snap out of that hero worship as soon as she see's how bloodthirsty Octavia is and willing to kill people (Bellamy, probably Clarke, etc) that Madi cares for.
Especially if Octavia threatens Clarke. Madi might not think so much of Octavia at that point.
