Hi everyone!

We’ve all been through a rough time for the last few weeks, and I feel that we’ve lost some momentum here since we’ve been back, so I don’t think it would be fair to conduct post counts here anytime soon, and, in fact, I don’t intend to do posts counts at all for the rest of the year. We will still be keeping an eye on the message boards here to make sure that they’re still active, but I feel that you’ve all shown this website a lot of loyalty, and I’ve really appreciated the support and encouragement that you gave us while we were off line and as we now try to adjust to our new server, so we’re suspending doing unannounced Official Post Counts until next year.
Additionally, I don’t think it would be fair to penalize the boards in the New Forums Category because we were off line, so I’m going to move all the boards in the New Forums Category into their permanent categories this Sunday and not do post counts for them, because I feel certain that they would have passed their trial run no matter when they started.
The New Forums category will be temporarily eliminated after this Sunday. Johnnie will be starting a new submission thread in May, and new forum polls will be up in June, and we’ll add new forums in July, and we’ll bring back the New Forums category at that time.
Please note that once things return to normal here (meaning we’re not going to worry about traffic at all here for at least the next month) the 48 Hour Rule will still apply, meaning that if no one posts on a message board for more than 48 hours, we’ll warn the moderators about the situation and monitor traffic on that board, and if it doesn’t average at least 100 posts per week after that point, the board will be closed. We’ll be looking at the traffic here from time to time on an unofficial basis, and we’ll contact the moderators of any board where the traffic is slow to let them know that the activity on their board needs to pick up, but I think it’s going to take us some time to pick up the momentum that we’ve lost, and I don’t want any of you to have to worry that your boards might close as we all get Fan Forum moving again.
We really appreciate the support and loyalty that you and your posters have shown to Fan Forum, and we look forward to continuing to work with you to make Fan Forum the best website on the Internet. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to post them here. Thanks!
