Well because none of the sequel characters were connected to Hayden's version of Anakin. It was either Vader or older Anakin. So I think it'd be weird. Like Rian said, he thought about bringing in Hayden to talk to Luke instead of Yoda, but Luke never had a connection to that version of Hayden, or to the younger version of Obi-Wan, so only Yoda made sense.
