I grew up with Farenheit. We switched to celsius in the mid 80's. Our speedometers have KPH a bit bigger, and MPH marked a bit smaller.
Also we changed from pounds to kilograms. Grocery stores still advertise in price per pound, then charge by the kilogram. It makes no sense to me.
Lizzy For in town measurements, I'd use blocks. For out of town, the time takes to get there. Although agree that blocks aren't always a standard size.
Sarah - not quite that warm here. The high today is supposed to get to 10C/50F, but then back to around the freezing point the next few days.
