A lot of good points in this thread about them being mature and not wanting to react in the immature, selfish way Dawson did. In general, I still didn't like how they were written in S5 and 6 or the way they basically ignored the elephant in the room that they had an epic and loving relationship. They tried to sweep it under the rug and it was just ridiculous to me.
