Yes and yes.
I like that Donna is on the Valentine's Dance committee in season 5. Nothing's explicitly said about that, but she and Jackie are shown decorating the gym for the dance. And an interesting little backstory must lie behind that. Did Donna join the committee to stretch herself? To prove that she's "freakin' feminine" or because she's always enjoyed decorating, and people don't expect that from her -- like in "Hyde's Birthday"? Maybe she was on the committee first and recruited Jackie.
