I’m not a huge grounder fan, either, Sharon, as you know. I hesitate to say that his feeling were “correct,” because I don’t know if a person’s feelings can be either right or wrong. But it made sense for his character. I’ve never understood the claim that it was out of character for him. It was just . . . it’s a darker side of his character. I think some viewers forgot that a character doesn’t always have to be good or make the right decisions for you to be invested them and still ultimately root for them. I mean, they did some similar stuff with Clarke and that bunker fiasco in season four.
