I think what stuck me with this kiss as much as their scene in the pilot when they looked at each other across the room and their eyes locked was –*they were in this ballroom full of people and yet while they started out being aware that they were in public, all those other people blended into the background and suddenly it was such an intimate moment. So I don't know if the kiss per se was special or important but I am just very fond of the symmetry of the two episodes and how those scenes were staged.
