The father didn't bother me with that line. It was about time someone said it. And yet Mary was perfectly reasonable to respond that he is special. But Sheldon's problem has always been that he kept into adulthood (Big Bang Theory) was that he gets treated differently BECAUSE he is special, and a genius and because of the way he eventually led his life. Leaving the family... going off so early, he just expects things to be done for him. How Leonard and Penny became defacto parents, and would always do things for him... when he could have done them himself... or he did if he truly wanted to, and Leonard and or Penny were busy. Or even Howard and Raj.
He's gotten a better in recent years within his relationship with Amy. But still... It was nice someone voicing it...
But of course no one actually does anything about it at the end of the day and so Sheldon keeps going...
The episode was very funny. And I found myself laughing at Sheldon's escapades in the garage.
