I agree with both of you. I don't believe Amy cheated on Colin with Ephram. She fought it for the longest time because of her loyalty to Colin. But...as you said...there was a bond and connection with Ephram and she just couldn't fight it. She did fight this attraction to the very end and remained loyal to Colin until his death. I don't count those few kisses with Ephram as cheating. She never let it go any further.
Amy was very young and at this age the guys that one dates aren't usually for the long term. Girls this age date many guys. Amy and Ephram were the exception. They were to become the high school sweethearts who were destined to be "the one" for each other..the one they would eventually marry.
