People feel threatened by Trump and his policies. He's a bully, and many are afraid that history will repeat its self in terms of dictatorship taking over the United States, like what happened with Hitler Europe. I say no fear, if worse comes to worse, we can all take on the clown without a second thought.
The 2010s are severely political, I think more so than I remember other decades being such. Sure we've had many political upheavals before, but with onset of social media, you notice nearly everything that's said and done.
