Right? It's not like we're saying we are glad this horrible, impossible situation transpired. It's just... there's clarity knowing Lucas/Peyton did end at the right time. Some make the case that the finale of 4 would have made a great series finale. But overall, Lucas/Peyton had to be concluded for sure in the finale of 6... well, minus that one episode in season 9 with Chad/Lucas giving us confirmation that yes, Lucas/Peyton/family made it and were doing beautifully long term. But everything happened the way it was meant to happen given the circumstances.
