I agree. I felt like we got too many unnecessary scenes with Chase & Karolina. And also when Chase mentioned to Nico (in the finale ep) that Karolina kept ignoring him which eventually made him move on. So I get the feeling that he was actively pursuing her. Although at least it wasn't because he found out that Karolina is a lesbian but because she was just not doing anything to reciprocate any feelers that Chase was throwing her way.
