They started fixing the road down by me and today a construction worker was killed. I heard it was one of the workers who holds the signs and that a dump truck was involved. The road was blocked off to traffic for hours and was still closed when I came home from work at 8:00. So sad.

That's terrible about the construction worker. It just drives home how dangerous this sort of work is - in the UK we have ads all along motorways reminding drivers that when there are road works there are people working on them and to take extra care. Hopefully there will be no further tragedies and the road will be fixed without any more accidents.
Our weather has once again returned to grey drizzly days - I shouldn't grumble as it could be a lot worse. In fact, according to the forecast there is some colder wintery weather on the way.
