Oh, I think their story is epic and beautiful. I wouldn't trade if for anything either. And as far as separations go, she still is in his every waking thought and his entire world now is trying to get back to her to reach her in the afterlife which is just gorgeous.
But I also wouldn't be averse to Emilie having a multi-episode arc.
