Marsali made me so sad when she talked about her mother. She wanted love and happiness with her parents,but didn't get it. Laoghire always wanted Jamie and loved him,but when she got what she wanted,she was too damaged to be with him.
I don't like her,but I feel for her. She must have been beaten and raped really badly if she can't even stand to be touched.
I'm glad that Marsali is emulating Jamie and Clare and finally accepted her. Her parents didn't have a real marriage and it wasn't happy,since they didn't sleep together. Clare is a much better role model and she's much more educated and sophisticated.
Their wedding made me laugh.
