Well, has any Dracula actor really nailed the Romanian accent? Bela Lugosi was Hungarian, Christopher Lee was English, Frank Langella is Italian-American, and Gary Oldman was so over the top I was in pain.
I didn't mind Jourdan because the BBC version stuck closest to the story, remembering that Jonathan and Mina are the main characters, not Dracula. Of course, if I had the chance to make Dracula into a movie or a TV miniseries, I doubt any viewer would survive.
I'd show Coppola how it's supposed to be done. I never saw Butler's Dracula, though.
And I'm sorry, but I never got around to the Silmarillion. Put that on my bucket list.
