Supergirl and Batgirl became iconic. Marvel Girl didn't.
And Phoenix ended up going sideways. Just the name itself is tainted, which is a shame. It's a good code name. Are the X-Men going to have emotional issues every time they go to Phoenix, Arizona?
Anyway, I have no idea if Emma is even still in the running.
